The HCG Half Everesting Challenge is your chance to test your endurance and determination. Ride uphill, push your limits, and aim to conquer half the elevation of the mighty Everest over the month of June.

🛫 Hill Climb & Descent Riding Safety Guidelines
🏔️ While Climbing:

Pace Yourself – Start steady. Maintain consistent breathing and pedal rhythm.

Use the Right Gear – Shift to lower gear before climbing. Avoid cross-chaining.

Body Position – Stay seated for traction. Lean slightly forward with a relaxed upper body.

Stay Hydrated – Sip water regularly to avoid dehydration.

Be Predictable – Ride straight. Avoid sudden stops or swerves.

Communicate – Signal if you're slowing or stopping. Allow faster riders to pass.
⛰ While Descending:

Control Your Speed – Brake before corners. Descend at a manageable pace.

Use Both Brakes Wisely – Feather both brakes. Avoid sudden grabs.

Look Ahead – Focus on the road, not your wheel. Anticipate hazards.

Body Position – Shift weight back. Stay low with relaxed elbows and knees.

Stay in Your Lane – Stick to your side, especially on curves.

Be Alert – Watch for gravel, potholes, animals.

Check Your Equipment – Ensure brakes, tires, and bike are in good condition before every ride.

Know the terrain before pushing hard.

Ride within your comfort zone.

Maintain group etiquette – communicate and give space.

Always wear a helmet. Gloves and glasses recommended.
📄 Ride Guidelines

Riders can complete multiple rides during the challenge period.

Only Strava-recorded rides are valid. Manual entries are not accepted.

GoalFit app will automatically fetch your ride data from Strava.

The leaderboard is updated live on GoalFit – no screenshots needed.

This challenge is about pushing your personal limits with honesty.

Progress updates and top performer highlights will be available in the GoalFit app.
